Civil War Diaries presented by Jan Underwood
Please mark your calendars for Saturday, August 17 at 1:00 PM
IGHS Library, 215 West North in Danville, IL
Jan Underwood will present the fascinating story about four Civil War diaries which were found in transit in Danville over 100 years ago – marked only with the individual’s first initial and last names to identify them. It is a story of unbelievable cooperation in research, and of breaking down brick walls to find genealogical answers. The diaries were identified and returned home. There are indeed holes in brick walls! Jan Underwood, as you may remember, presented the fascinating Orphan Train presentation in April to a full house! Any devotee of family and Civil War history will want to attend.
There is FREE admission!
(Please RSVP at 217-431-8733, if you plan to attend)!
